Well, look who caved in and kowtowed to political correctness:

North Carolina should allow people to “use the bathroom they feel is appropriate,” Donald Trump said this morning of the state’s new law that bans people from using bathrooms that don’t match the sex indicated on their birth certificate.

Conman Don was never the guy who “tells it like it is”; he’s always been the guy who tells it like he thinks most of his audience want to hear at the moment.  As soon as his political calculus changes (maybe as soon as the general election), he’ll be so anti-wall you won’t even recognize him.  He’ll happily tell you what a hatemonger you are for being against illegal immigration, and he’ll sound just as convincingly “sincere” and matter-of-fact as he does now.

It’s what he does.  It’s what he’s always done.

As to the particular substantive issue of the moment—the question of North Carolina’s requirement that men and women, respectively, use the appropriate public restroom and not the other—the left is pushing its position as a reasonable accommodation to the feelings of the occasional person who identifies as someone of the opposite sex, but it’s worth pointing out that the leftists’ preferred policy potentially also makes the world less safe for women, and more safe for perverts.  James O’Keefe and Project Veritas explore the topic further, in their own inimitable way:
