Pro-life March Outnumbers Pro-abortion Demonstrators, Maybe a Thousand to One

Hundreds of thousands went to D. C. for the annual March for Life last week.  As even the liberal Washington Post observed, this pro-life movement is full of youth and energy.

Found in an old Mad Magazine (1971, No. 147):

‘the issue of welfare is not what it costs those who provide it, but what it costs those who receive it.’

Great line.  From George Will’s column this week:

Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a lifelong New Deal liberal and accomplished social scientist, warned that “the issue of welfare is not what it costs those who provide it, but what it costs those who receive it.”
